Manganese Project

The Tomoromadji Manganese Project contains over 10 million tonnes of manganese and is planned as a 25-year open-pit mining operation. Test work confirms the ability to produce >40% Mn Direct Shipping Ore for global markets, especially China. Low mining costs, simple processing, and strong product demand make the project economically attractive. Environmental approval is already in place, and no fatal flaws were identified.

  • Exploration Area: 10 million tonnes of manganese resource identified across multiple zones
  • Commodity: Manganese Ore (26%–45% Mn grades)
  • High-Grade Zones: Keneba & Madina Fulbé (30–45% Mn)
  • Moderate-Grade Zones: Tomoromadji area (10–30% Mn with upgrade potential)
  • Ore Characteristics: Shallow manganese bodies hosted in hydrothermally altered limestone with VMS-related mineralization
  • Geological Setting: Volcanogenic massive sulfide system with cherts, carbonates, and altered volcanic rocks
  • Survey Methods: Diamond drilling (44 drillholes), geological mapping, geochemical analysis, bulk samples, metallurgical testing
  • Ore Continuity: Strong lateral and depth continuity confirmed by drilling
  • Estimated Resource Potential: ~10 million tonnes total Mn resource
  • Mining Method: Open-pit mining with very low stripping ratio (0.25 : 1)
  • Processing: Crushing → SAG mill → gravity separation → magnetic separation producing 40–46% Mn DSO
  • Infrastructure & Access: Good road access through Keneba, Madina Fulbé & Tomoromadji regional network
  • Project Stage: Feasibility-level scoping completed; economically viable; ready for financing & development

Exploration Work Completed:

  • 44 DD holes confirming ore continuity
  • Geological modeling of Keneba, Madina Fulbé & Tomoromadji zones

  • Metallurgical tests showing ability to upgrade Mn +10–15%

Production Output:

  • Year 1: ~204,000 tonnes

  • Years 2–6: ~237,000 tonnes/year

  • Years 7–18: ~248,000 tonnes/year

Financial Indicators:

  • Initial CAPEX: 8.3 billion CFA

  • Payback: ~3 years

  • Strong demand from Chinese Mn market
